As the Olympics progressed, complaints raging about the lackluster, shoddy conditions of Sochi's hotels have desisted. But the massive debt has not. The Russians were banking off the fact that the Olympics would give the "resort" a good image. However, with problems ranging with troublesome doors, bathrooms that don't offer much privacy, and honey with bees still in it, Sochi has less than a sterling image. As I have said in a previous post, Russia has spent more than 50 billion dollars to make these Olympics work. If Sochi is not the hottest new resort spot in the world, Russia will be facing quite the debt for many more years.Certainly, Sochi's quality of life and image will have to drastically improve if any profit will be made from these Olympics.
